Who We Are
Beach MedX CPR Training Center is a locally owned, family-operated mobile training provider serving Cocoa Beach and surrounding communities. Our focus is delivering practical, confidence-building CPR and First Aid education grounded in real emergency response experience.
Sandy, Owner and Lead Instructor, brings decades of hands-on safety and emergency response work to every class. His background began with professional lifeguarding at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach during the late 1990s and early 2000s, where rapid recognition, prevention, and water-rescue response were daily responsibilities.
He is also the founder of Sandy Beach Surfing, established in 2010. Beyond traditional surf instruction, the program includes the Surf N’ Science educational initiative, which blends ocean safety, environmental awareness, and youth mentorship — reinforcing a strong culture of prevention, preparedness, and real-world safety skills.
In addition to his water safety background, Sandy has completed full paramedic training and brings over eight years of in-the-field EMT experience. He remains actively involved in emergency response through:
• Contracted set medic work for film and live events
• Special event medical support with Daytona International Speedway Fire/Rescue
• Red Card–certified Wildland Fire EMS deployments assisting wildland fire management operations across the western United States
This combination of lifeguarding, EMS, event medicine, and field deployment experience allows Beach MedX training to go beyond certification — helping participants understand how emergencies unfold, how to stay calm under pressure, and how to respond effectively until advanced care arrives.
Beach MedX is supported behind the scenes by Holly, who assists with scheduling coordination, communication, and administrative support to help keep training organized and accessible for clients. While Sandy leads instruction and field training, Holly helps ensure the logistics run smoothly so clients have a clear, responsive, and easy experience from inquiry to certification.
Their son, Tilden, is the youngest member of the team and a frequent observer of both ocean safety culture and community training days — growing up surrounded by conversations about preparedness, helping others, and respect for the environments and communities Beach MedX serves.
As a small family-run business, we value flexibility, approachability, and strong community relationships. We are grateful for the opportunity to provide convenient mobile CPR and First Aid training to Cocoa Beach and surrounding areas.
